It
will come as no surprise to everyone, that Robert Hargrove caught all 5 fish
of his 13.90 lb limit in shallow water on Sunday. He went to his bread &
butter fishing technique, The Chicken Rig tipped with a zoom trick worm, and
found more than enough fish to capture the win on Sunday at Cedar Creek. He
was paid $352.00 for the 1st place prize money. Also Robert’s
weight combined with John Cook’s for a total of 15.73 lbs, enough to earn
them the heavy stringer pot for $80.00 each.
Second place was awarded to Century Club President Nick Carroccio for his 5
fish limit weighing 13.08 lbs. He used every rod in his boat throughout the
day to catch his fish in just about every way possible. Nick received
$252.00 in prize money.
Hammed Ghaffar earned the third place honors with just 3 fish weighing 9.85
lbs. His fish were caught on a Texas rigged baby brush hog in watermelon
red. He took home $151.00 for his efforts.
After winning last months tournament and catching Saturday’s big bass in the
North East Federation tournament, Paul Zukosky continued his momentum in
Sunday’s club tournament with a 4th place finish. Paul fished a
Ribbit frog for a top water bite most of the day as well as an 11” Berkley
power worm in black blue around docks. He weighed 3 fish for 8.30 lbs,
earning himself $111.00 in prize money.
Fifth place went to Keith Green with 4 fish weighing 7.57 lbs. His fish
came on a shakey head jig, with a watermelon candy finesse worm trailer,
fished exclusively around boat docks. Century awarded Keith $81.00 for his
catch.
In
the final paid place, Randy Conover weighed a 5 fish limit for only 7.57
lbs. He flipped a mystery green colored worm up in the reeds to catch his 5
dinks, but was paid $61.00 for those dinks. He was also drawn randomly to
receive a free entry drawing for next month’s tournament. While the 1st
place out of the money finisher, Mr. Coy Frazier, didn’t receive any money
for his 2 fish weight of 7.56, he did receive the big bass award of $160.00
for the 5.53 lb monster he caught at approx 2:00pm in about 30 ft of water
on a Carolina rigged finesse worm.
