Zukosky Zaps 'em at Cedar Creek

Long time Century member and club treasurer, Paul Zukosky, found the right water and seined said water using watermelon red brush hogs to show up at the 8:00 a.m. weigh-in of our August 9 night tournament on Cedar Creek with a 5-fish limit for 14.36 lbs.  Paul’s efforts were rewarded to the tune of $298 and also $104 for heavy boat weight for a nice total of $402.  Nice sack, Paul!

Robert Hargrove continued his hot streak of late with another 5-fish limit for 13.25 lbs. which earned him $185 for his lack of sleep that evening.  Another hot member this summer, Tommy Yates, was just off Robert’s heels with the only other 5-fish limit weighing 13.04 lbs.  Tommy’s fish were caught using spinner baits and 10” power worms.  Tommy’s 3^rd place finish was good for $113.

Fourth place was captured by Century President, Duane Climer, with 4 fish for 10.39 lbs. and $60.  Big Bass was captured by yours truly on a black emerald trick worm fished “Hargrove” style.  My big fish tipped the scales at 5.04 lbs. and added $105 to my ride home.  Ray Bell was the winner of the free entry.  A total of 47 fish were weighed in at 111.96 lbs for a 2.38 average.

Congratulations to Century Legend Robert Hargrove.  As of press time, the unofficial season point totals for the B.A.S.S. Northeast Federation circuit following the final tournament held August 16 at Lake Lavon, have Century member Robert Hargrove on top and winning the coveted 2003 Angler of the Year.  Robert will be representing the Northeast Federation and Century at the Regional’s held next year in an attempt to move on to the National’s and then ultimately the Bass Master’s Classic—Good Luck Robert!
