Dan Phifer used a Black Buzz Bait to claim the Victory on Ray Hubbard during the annual Century night tournament. He brought 6 total fish to the scales over both weigh-ins for a total of 14lb 8oz. Dan along with his partner, Mr. Jimmy Brewer took home the Heavy Stringer for the tournament with 9 total fish weighing 18lb 15 oz. The first place prize money was $255.00, and half the Heavy Stringer Prize money was $47.50.
After starting the night with a fat 7lb 12oz pig at the 1st weigh in, Philip Webb, brought 2 more fish in for the second weigh in and was able to finish in Second place. Philip’s total weight for the tournament was 11 lbs 4 oz. His 7lb 12oz fish was enough to Claim the tournament Big Bass, as well as take over the lead for the Century Big Bass of the Year title. His fish were caught on a Spit N Fire Jig in green pumpkin. Philip was paid $159.00 for 2nd place and $95.00 for the big bass pot.
Finishing in third place was Craig Dowis, while he failed to catch a fish during the 1st fishing session which included him losing a 5 pounder at the boat, Craig rebounded nicely with the only 5 fish limit of the tournament in the 2nd session. His 11lb 3oz total was enough to earn him the $96.00 3rd place prize money. Craig’s fish were caught while Flipping a Lake Fork Craw tube in Black Neon to Shallow Cover.
The fourth and final money place was awarded to Mike Hughs. He also did not catch a fish during the 1st fishing session but came back nicely with 4 fish for 9lb 2oz during the 2nd session. Mikes fish were caught also while Flipping a Lake Fork Craw tube in Black & Blue. Mike was given $57.00 for 4th place.
