After Seven years without a victory, a couple seconds, and a bunch of in the money finishes, Mr. Mark Calhoun, finally was able to win another Century Bass Club Tournament, Mark's last victory was in 2002 on Cedar Creek. After Starting off slowly during the first fishing period with only 1 fish, he was able to find 4 more in the second period, to finish with 5 fish for 13.10 lbs. He caught his fish on Black Neon Creature bait, while Carolina Rigging in 10-12 ft of water. Mark will earn $340.00 for first place. He will also split the Heavy Boat Pot of $135.00 with his partner, Ken Caldwell for their 20.22 lbs stringer.
In Second place was Paul Pierce, who was able to catch 6 fish for 10.79 lbs. Paul's fish were caught mostly on a Norman Crankbait in Orange Crush. He will earn $220.00 for a fine effort.
Jon Harshbarger will earn the Third Place payout of $130.00 with his 5 fish that weighed 10.37 lbs. Jon caught his fish while flipping a Texas Rigged Worm throughout the night.
Fourth place belongs to Mike Casanova who weighed 3 fish at each weigh in for a total of 9.70 His payout will be $95.00. Mike's fish were caught on numerous moving baits, such as a crank bait, a Chatter Bait, and a buzz bait.
The final money place will be paid to Mr. Robert Hargrove, who weighed in five fish for 9.36 lbs. Robert's fish were caught on his #2 go to bait, a White and Chartreuse Chatter bait. He will earn $65.00 for his efforts.
The first out of the money, Free Entry will be paid to Johnny Walker, who after failing to weigh a fish in the first period, was able to find a nice 5 fish limit for 9.06 lbs. Johnny caught his fish on a Drop Shot Fluke. The tournament Big Bass award goes to Yarik Malyuta, who caught a 4.83 lb fish in the second fishing period on a C-rig ring fry.
