Century Bass Club held its annual 2 day tournament on May 16th & 17th at Lake Belton in Central Texas. Mr. Dan Phifer brought in two 5 fish limits, the second anchored by the day 2 big bass to claim the victory. His total weight for 2 days was 10 fish for 25.14 lbs. Dan caught his fish on a Shakey head rig, and a Senko while fishing bluff walls at varying depths. His payout for 1st place will be $255.00 and another $90.00 for second day big bass.
In second place was Jon Harshbarger, who also brought 5 fish to the scales both days, but wasn't able to secure a big bite. His totals for both days we very consistent at 11.17 lbs and 10.93 lbs, for a final weight of 22.10. Jon's fish were caught on a Football Head Jig while fishing Rocky secondary points. His 2nd place pay check will be $158.00.
After most of the anglers fell off of the Day One pace, Club President Nick Carroccio was able to claim the 3rd place spot. Nick had a 5 fish limit Saturday that included the Day 1 big bass, but was only able to find 4 keepers on Sunday. Despite not finding 10 total fish, his Total weight of 17.80 was more than enough to solidify him in the 3rd position. His fish were caught mostly on a drop shot rig with a watermelon Finesse Worm. He will earn $96.00 for 3rd, and $90.00 for day one big bass.
In the final money position was Russell Roland, who was able to find 7 fish for 2 days that totaled 16.80 lbs. Russell caught his fish while Draggin his Carolina Rig and slinging a Spinner bait. The 4th place payout will be $58.00.
This year we are awarding the 1st out of the money position a Free tournament entry into the next tournament. This months Free Entry will go to Philip Webb who finished 5th overall, with 7 fish weighing 13.37lbs. Philip's fish were caught on a Spit N Fire football head Jig, and a Watermelon Candy Tube.
