Tournament Lake: Ray Hubbard Temperatures: Low 52 – High 59
Tournament Hours: 7 am - 3 pm Conditions: Cloudy w/ Showers
Sunday's final regular season tournament on Lake Ray Hubbard found conditions to be less than ideal, with a cold front blowing through Saturday night bringing the lowest temperatures so far this fall. While most Anglers struggled to find a fish, Russell Roland, brought in a solid 3 fish sack weighing 9.57 lbs. Russell's fish were caught on opposite presentations, first he used a White Spinnerbait to start the day, and then he went to his Carolina Rig in about 10 ft of water to finish the day out. Russell will earn $315.00 for the Victory. He and his partner, Yarik Malyuta were also able to claim the Heavy stringer award with 11.89 lbs. They will each receive $62.50.
Ken Caldwell was able to catch 3 fish for 8.23lbs to claim the second place check. Ken's fish were caught on a Black and Blue Jig and a Texas Rigged Worm. He will earn $205.00 for his effort.
According reliable sources, we have never had a tie between 2 Anglers in the Top 5 positions, but After Mike Hughs brought in 3 fish for 4.94 lbs, and Jon Harshbarger brought in 2 Fish for 4.94 lbs, We now have a Tie for Third place. Mike's fish were caught on a White SpinnerBait and a Jig , while Jon caught his fish on a Wacky Worm Senko. According to standard Club policy, We will add the 3rd and 4th place payouts together and split it 50/50 so each angler will receive $102.50.
In the final money position was Mr. Robert Hargrove, who was only able to bring in 1 fish, but it did weigh 4.91lbs. Robert's fish was caught on his typical Chicken Rig. He will earn $63.00 for 5th place, and $125.00 for the Tournament Big Bass Award.
This year we are awarding the 1st out of the money position a Free tournament entry into the next tournament. This months Free Entry will go to Philip Webb who finished 6th overall, with 2 fish weighing 3.89lbs. Philip's fish were caught on a Spit N Fire football head Jig.
